Player or fan version: what's the difference?
When buying a jersey you're often offered two options: the player version and the fan version. They look alike, but they're not the same jersey.
The player version: the one worn on the pitch
It's the jersey actually worn by the players: fitted cut, thinner technical fabric, heat-pressed badges, often a bit pricier. Ideal if you want the authentic look.
The fan version: everyday comfort
Designed for fans in the stands and daily wear: slightly roomier cut, more comfortable, embroidered or printed badges, a softer price.
So which one?
- Authentic / pitch cut → player version
- Comfort and best value → fan version
