Genuine jersey or counterfeit: how to tell?
The jersey market has wildly different quality levels. Here are the things to check to make sure you buy a quality jersey.
1. The stitching
A quality jersey has even, straight, sturdy stitching. Loose threads or crooked seams are a bad sign.
2. Badges and printing
Check the club and brand logos: crisp, well-fixed, correct colours.
3. Labels and fabric
The fabric should be pleasant, breathable, no strong chemical smell.
4. The price (beware "too good")
A jersey 3x cheaper than everywhere else with blurry photos and an unreachable seller? Be careful.
5. The seller
Buy from an identifiable, reachable seller with reviews.
