Why does a club have several jerseys?

Each club has several jerseys per season. It's not just aesthetic: it's also a rule to avoid two teams playing in colours that are too similar.

The home jersey

It's the club's historic jersey, in its emblematic colours (Liverpool red, Real white…). The most iconic.

The away jersey

Worn in away matches, it uses different colours from the home kit. Often more original.

The third jersey (and sometimes fourth)

An even more creative third jersey, released for major competitions. Clubs dare bold collector designs.
